Clean
Microfiber products,
natural and synthetic chamois.
It's always a pleasure to find
a new product that not only performs as advertised but actually works better
than advertised. Micro-Restore falls into that category. This is the
first (to my knowledge) concentrated, detergent designed to clean, pamper and
extend the life of Microfiber cloths.
While it's true that
Microfiber is remarkably strong and can be machine washed using any laundry
detergent, commercial linen and laundry services were experiencing a problem.
Repeated washings with the strong detergents used to clean shop towels was
causing the fibers to stiffen, reducing the towels effectiveness and cleaning
ability. Nu-Tech began working with a large Microfiber
supplier and commercial laundry services in 2003 to tackle the problem. The result was
Micro-Restore.
Micro-Restore removes all
manner of greasy, oily stains while keeping the individual Microfibers soft and
flexible. Cloths, towels, mitts and applicators emerge clean, soft and fluffy,
wash after wash.
I put Micro-Restore to the
ultimate test by cleaning my Audi's wheels using a Microfiber cloth instead my
usual brush. When I was finished, my cloth was black with brake dust and oily
road grime. I put this cloth in the washing machine with half a dozen other
Microfiber towels and applicators containing polish and wax residues. I added 1 oz.
of Micro-Restore. Ten minutes into the wash cycle, I lifted the
lid on the washer and was horrified to find the wash water had turned absolutely
BLACK! Committed, I closed the lid, completed the wash cycle and pondered how to
tell my wife that I coated the inside of our washing machine with brake dust
residues! At the end of the wash cycle, I opened the lid with trepidation and
removed the load. My polishing and buffing cloths and applicators were
spotlessly clean. All of the wax and polish residues were removed and none of
the grease or brake dust from my wheel cleaning cloth migrated to the other
cloths! I would rate the wheel cleaning towel to be 99% pristine. Only a few,
very faint, light gray spots remained. I rubbed these spots with a dry, white
cotton cloth and nothing came off. While faintly spotted, the towel was
absolutely clean!

Lastly, I took a dry
Microfiber cloth and wiped the inside of the washing machine. Zip, nothing,
zero! Not a trace of any dirt, oils or grime. I was truly impressed with how
well this cleaner worked.
Ian Rammelkamp of Nu-Tech tells me that
Micro-Restore is a 100% biodegradable detergent with special water softeners to
prevent fiber stiffening. The product contains no bleach or fabric softeners yet
will break down heavy grease, motor oils, wax residues and stubborn stains
restoring a like-new softness through several hundred washings!
One last note. Micro-Restore
will also clean and revitalize cotton towels, natural and synthetic chamois.
(Always wash Microfiber products by themselves.)
Application Guide:

cleaning.

products) Add 1 oz. of Micro-Restore to wash water and set machine on
small wash cycle, light or medium soil. Set water temperature to WARM..
- Full Load: Add 2 oz. of Micro-Restore to
wash water and set machine to large load size and heavy oil. Set water
temperature to WARM.
Net weight 32 oz. concentrate.
