Meguiars Tire Brush gives a
new slant on cleaning.
Sometimes it's hard to sort
out the gimmicky from the really innovative. When Meguiar's sent me this,
new, Versa-Angle Tire Scrub Brush for evaluation, I wasn't sure which camp they fell into.
The brush offers a unique, detachable, handle which allows you to remove the
brush head and put it on "backwards". This totally changes the angle
of the brush head. Meguiar's claims this allows you to "select the best
cleaning angle for the job." Is this a real advantage or just a gimmick?
First, some observations:
|

|
The brush is beautifully made with an excellent weight and balance. Two side
buttons on the handle quickly lock the brush head in place and once locked,
there's no possibility of the head accidentally coming off.
The Tire Scrub Brush
comes with a detachable, 8 inch handle which also allows the brush head to
be reversed. Regardless of how
you install the brush head, the brush is comfortable to hold and use.

Simply press two side
buttons on the
handle to release the brush head.

The
Versa-Angle Short Handle Tire Scrub Brush features dual bristles
with tough, scrubbing bristles in the center surrounded by softer bristles
on the outside. |
| These outer bristles
prevent you from accidentally scratching your alloy wheels while scrubbing
grime off your tires.
The 8 inch handle is detachable allowing you to reverse the
brush head to achieve a tilted head position.
The Tire Brush is 13
inches long. |

Bottom line, Meguiar's has
done an excellent job of pioneering a new brush for the
enthusiast. It is well thought out, well designed and well crafted. A worthy addition to any car guy or car gal's detailing arsenal. |
